lncrease his water intake and if he can drink prune or apple juice,it will help as well.

  2. su_franc says:

As above, apple, prune, peach, pear, white grape juices are all good for the bowels. Bear in mind though that if the baby is under 6 months she won’t be able to take anything more than tiny medicinal doses.
The only genuine folk-remedy I know is the homemade soap-suppository described above. That’s the surest thing to use if she is in pain and/or hasn’t “done” for three or four days – almost guaranteed to make her do a smelly in under 20 minutes!

  3. casigl says:

I suggest you first try to discover the exact cause of the constipation before trying a remedy.
A good remedy is adding natural fibers like prune juice.
Most experts agree that mother’s milk is still the best formula for babies.

  4. AsIaNaHo says:

suppositories… you can buy it aat the store.. or you can just make your own at home.. wet a bar of soap, and cut off a slither (very skinny, small piece) of the soap and insert it into the baby’s poopie hole.. guaranteed to work every time.. no matter how young or old the infant/newborn is

  5. c'estmoi says:

I used karo syrup, just a glob of it in some water in his bottle. Worked wonders! He was about 2 months old when we did this. His digestive tract matured and he hasn’t had any problems since he was about 5 or 6 months old.

  6. Amanda says:

How old is the baby? I would say prune juice or prune baby food (if he’s already eating baby food). However, start with just a LITTLE and slowly offer more if it’s not working every few hours.

  7. shell says:

increase fluids if the little one can have juice give apple juice and if he/she is eating baby food prunes just the small jar should do

  8. How old is the baby? That would change how you should handle it.

  9. whatagal says:

I used to boil water with some fennel seeds or a bay leaf. It always worked.

  10. Jessica B says:

    karo syrup and prunes.
