Question by Karma – lized: How to treat mild gingivitis and shade anomalies?
I just got my braces off that I had had on for nearly three years. When the braces came off, my orthodontist told me I had a mild case of gingivitis, and to get my teeth professionally cleaned, and then do some at home treatment. It’s not a bad case, not by what I saw when I looked it up, at least. The gums are slightly enflamed and a little sore.
I’ve already booked an appointment for my cleaning with my dentist next week, but is there anything I can do now? I don’t understand what he meant by “at home treatment.” What kind of treatment?
Also, there are spots where my brackets had been on my teeth, like the shading is different from the edges of the tooth to the center. Is there any good at home way to treat this, or will the cleaning take care of it? I use a stain treating toothpaste once a day anyway, will this just go away?
Thanks in advance!

Why didn’t you ask him what he meant? I would ask your dentist.
I was warned that I had to brush my teeth real good while I had braces or there would be spots on my teeth from the brackets.

My boyfriend has been throwing up for almost two days and has a bad case of the flu accompanied by migranes. What ways can I help him here at home? If he doesn’t improve by morning, I am taking him to the ER.

She is scratching and biting and by the looks of it, it is definetly NOT FLEAS. She looks like she has a bad case of dandruff on her fur, but we have seen some clear white like bugs crawling on her. They are attached to the hair follicles but they seem to be biting her and she is scratching and biting her legs, back and face throughout the day. She also has a foul odor over her body and I have read that dogs who suffer from mites carry a bad odor. Otherwise she is healthy, eating and playing well. I know there has to be a home remedy for this one.
