Good morning!
I guess you noticed we added an easy to find sitemap, a global translator (home remedy for people that do not have English as a first language) and we also added a plug-in that shows the search terms people are using to find this site.
Some of those search terms are scary y’all. For example – “How to go into labor now” – that’s not, how shall I put this delicately(?) – not very smart thinking.
I’ve had 3 kiddos and one thing I have learned, they will come when they are ready and if you feel anything is wrong – get in your doctor’s face right now. I admit I was so tired of being pregnant at the end of my 1st pregnancy- and a week overdue but the doctor said to wait it out a few days – especially since this little booger gave me morning sickness all day every day clear up until the day she was born, I tried an old wive’s tale about eating jalapenos to speed up delivery. I got a rousing case of heartburn. But that was me and when I told my doctor what I had done – he gave me a stern lecture AND laughed at me. For my 2 that followed – you bet I was a patient patty about waiting.
I see people searching for herbs to induce labor – please remember, herbs ARE drugs and should be treated with respect and don’t use them unless you read up on them.
I want everyone that visits this site to be happy AND healthy. The information we gather and disseminate is for informational purposes and I hope that you’re using your good common sense to ascertain whether or not certain home remedies will work for you. Many home remedies work fantastically, some are old wive’s tales (like my jalapeno experience!) and have historical value in their telling – but most of all – use your common sense.
With a website this busy – you’re going to get trolls posting on occasion (the home remedy request for euthanizing a cat would be an example) we try to keep them in check but occasionally one is going to slip through the cracks – please feel free to email me info@homeremedyqueen.com – if you something amiss. Mostly trolls are just trying to wind you up and don’t take them seriously -we delete and ban them but about once a month – one will make it through our defenses.
Okay enough kvetching.
I am adding some holiday home remedies as I find them – hope you enjoy them – I think we’re start off with pumpkin painting (because it lasts so much longer than carving (and definitely smells better about day 4 or 5)!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of Home Remedy Queen and let’s keep sharing and keep it positive!
